Users of gas-fired steam boilers generally choose to use natural gas as fuel, because my country's current natural gas transfer projects have become more popular, and natural gas can be easily used in most areas. For users, it is very important to use gas-fired steam boilers correctly to prevent natural gas leakage.
The main components of natural gas used in gas steam boiler rooms are: methane content of 98%, propane content of 0.3%, butane content of 0.3%, nitrogen content of 1% and other substances; explosion limit: 5% to 15%.
When the concentration of natural gas in the air exceeds 15%, it will cause hypoxia and neurological damage, resulting in respiratory paralysis, coma and even death. A gas explosion is an instantaneous combustion of high-temperature and high-pressure gas up to 3000℃, and the explosion shock wave speed can reach 300 m/s, causing great damage.
Regarding the prevention of the leakage of the membrane water wall pipe of the gas steam boiler, the cause of the leakage should be investigated, and the following preventive measures should be proposed based on the inspection results:
(1) Clean up the scale and slag accumulated inside the boiler to avoid the formation of a strong alkaline environment in the local position of the boiler;
(2) It is recommended that the boiler should avoid long-term low-load operation to improve the water circulation state. The load should be kept at about 80% as the best, so as to prevent part of the water wall tube bundle from stagnating in soda;
(3) The water level meter and the secondary meter display are inconsistent, so adjustments should be made to prevent the boiler from running at a high water level.
(4) According to the requirements of the specification, for steam boilers with a rated evaporation capacity ≥4 t/h, the boiler water quality analysis shall be conducted at least once every 4 hours. When the boiler water quality is abnormal, the frequency of laboratory tests should be increased to keep the boiler water quality indicators in a qualified state for a long time.
